Pleasure craft can head out to sea from Saturday

Pleasure crafts on Island will be allowed to head out to sea from Saturday.

Infrastructure Minister, Ray Harmer MHK, announced the update - but says only people from the same household will be allowed on board.

Furthermore, Mr Harmer also says any boats heading out will not be permitted to head more than three miles from the shore, must only go out in daylight and for a maximum of four hours.

The minister adds the rules apply to any type of vessel including canoes, kayaks and paddleboards and that the Marine Operations Centre must be notified beforehand on 686 628.
