Could Island pubs and restaurants provide takeaway services?
The government is proposing the idea on a short-term basis which, officials say, would allow food businesses to make up for lost income due to social distancing and self-isolation amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
It comes after Chief Minister, Howard Quayle MHK, confirmed yesterday that residents are now being advised to stay away from places where large numbers gather in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Government adds any existing registered food businesses wanting to provide takeaways and deliveries should contact planning@gov.im using the subject line ‘Hot and Cold Food Takeaway Deliveries’.
