This year's Relay For Life will go virtual.
In light of the current climate, Relay For Life Isle of Man has made the decision to cancel their event at the NSC - which was due to be held at the end of August.
Instead, they will be challenging teams to ‘Relay At Home’.
Chair Becky O’Reilly said 'It’s been a tough decision, but given the size of the event and number of people who would be classed as high risk, the committee feel it’s the right one.'
The event usually sees people walking for 24 hours, with teams taking part to ‘relay’ around the NSC track, raising funds for Cancer Research UK.
Registration will remain open throughout the year with all participants able to take part in next year’s event too.
However, people can sign up as normal for this year - for more information you can visit the Facebook page ‘Relay For Life Isle of Man’ or email relayiom@gmail.com.
