An amendment to the emergency powers regulations has been approved.
The continuance of The Emergency Powers (Coronavirus) (Entry Restriction No. 2) Regulations 2020 was amended before being passed in today's Tynwald sitting.
The amendment was put forward by MHK Lawrie Hooper - who removed the condition that people could only apply to return home if they hadn't stayed anywhere in the world they or a close family member owned on or after the 27th March 2020.
Some members supported the notion, but others disagreed.
However after a long debate, all Tynwald members, including the Council of Minister, voted in favour of the amendment and the motion passed unanimously.
