From next Monday (April 12) all restrictions will be lifted on tradespeople entering occupied properties.
Chief Minister, Howard Quayle MHK, confirmed this afternoon activities such as painting and decorating as well as the installing of bathrooms and kitchens can recommence.
However, the wearing of face coverings and social distancing must still be observed.
He adds, ideally, householders should be out the home when tradespeople are present or at least shouldn't be in the same room.
Meanwhile, from the same day, estate agents and surveyors can also enter people's homes provided they also follow the same guidance and restrictions on viewings of unoccupied homes will also be lifted.
However, Mr Quayle says they're not yet ready to lift restrictions around viewings on occupied properties at this time.
