'Smaller classes when schools reopen'

Smaller classes and staggered lunchtimes are some of the measures in place for when schools are able to reopen next week.

Education, Sport & Culture Minister, Dr Alex Allinson, MHK has been outlining some of the steps officials have taken to help schools start allowing pupils back from next Monday (June 15).

Dr Allinson adds enhanced cleaning regimes are in place and numerous staff being redeployed.

Children from hub schools can return to their own schools from June 17, whilst pupils in years 2, 6, 10 and 12 will be able to return full-time from June 22.

This would be on a voluntary basis until September.
