Speaker of the House of Keys, Juan Watterson MHK, has described cancelling the Senior Race Day bank holiday without consultation as 'mean spirited'.
It comes after Chief Minister, Howard Quayle MHK, announced yesterday the holiday - previously planned for June 12 - would be scrapped.
Mr Watterson also believes those currently in quarantine at the Comis Hotel are 'right to be angry' at not currently being allowed to self-isolate instead whilst those who are ill or key workers are permitted to do so.
Meanwhile, the government has confirmed a review of the repatriation process has been carried out and an update on the matter will be given next Monday (May 11).
