A school student from Douglas is planning to brave the shave to raise funds for vital medical equipment.
16-year-old Ella Quayle, from Douglas, is looking to raise £1,400 by cutting her hair with the money then set to go towards assisting the Noble's Hospital Equipment Trust.
She hopes people can 'come together as an island and show the Coronavirus that we’re stronger' - Ballakermeen High School, where Ella is a student at, has also offered £500 from its charity fund to help with her efforts.
The head shave is expected to take place this Friday (April 24) - anyone wanting to donate to the cause is invited to visit her JustGiving page.
