Taxi licencing laws has been relaxed under emergency powers due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Taxi drivers are now able to operate ‘Island wide’, as opposed to just within their own licence region.
Government say the move is 'for the purpose of securing the essentials of life to the community.'
