The Health and Social Care Minister says putting any timeline on when phases of the Coronavirus strategy would come in would be 'irresponsible'.
David Ashford MHK made the comments in response to a question about why the Isle of Man wouldn't give rough timeline estimates as the pandemic situation develops.
The Minister says his department and the government is working responsibly and that publishing timescales could falsely raise the hopes of the public of returning to normality.
On Monday, the government published it's medium-term strategy for tackling the virus which outlined the six phases in which services could return to the Island but no specific dates have been given for when those could come into effect.
