Tynwald Day will be going ahead this year, according to the Islands Health and Social Care Minister.
David Ashford MHK made the statement whilst answering questions this afternoon on the cancelled Senior Race Day Bank Holiday which is now set to be moved to August.
Early last month, it was confirmed celebrations to mark the Islands national day in 2020 would be scaled back because of the uncertainty around the Coronavirus pandemic.
As a result, the occasion this time around won't include a fair, military guard of honour or VIP guests - however, some aspects of the day will continue as normal, such as the promulgation of Acts, presentation of petitions and swearing in of coroners.
