We aren't able to test as many people as we would like to.
The Island's health and Social Care Minister made the statement in yesterday's Covid-19 press briefing.
The government confirmed late last night a first case of the virus has been found on Island in a patient who'd recently returned from Spain.
Mr Ashford said the Island has processed around 100 tests over the last few days and are currently awaiting results.
The Minister also said going forward they will be processing a minimum of 30 tests a day.
