The Isle of Man is on the cusp of a new political era.
Island residents have voted and the Isle of Man is on the cusp of a new political era.
Polling for the general election closed at 20:00 BST yesterday and the count revealed major change.
Four former ministers, Tim Baker, Graham Cregeen, Geoffrey Boot and Ray Harmer have lost their seats while two former members of the Legislative Council have been voted in to the Keys.
Kate Lord-Brennan and Jane Pool-Wilson have been elected to Glenfaba & Peel and Middle, respectively.
Voters have also elected two former radio presenters, Stu Peters and Tim Glover, into office.
For the first time in history, two constituencies now have an all-female representation with Sarah Maltby and Claire Christian winning the contest in Douglas South and Joney Faragher and Clare Barber winning in Douglas East.
The newly elected MHKs will represent their constituents in the Manx Parliament for the next five years.
They will be sworn in at a special sitting on 28th September.
