Island named FinTech Region of the Year

The Isle of Man has been named the FinTech Region of the Year.

FinTech is the financial and technology sectors merging together - which two years ago the Island announced it would be investing and supporting.

As the Island has encouraged FinTech growth it's developed a 'cluster' of companies focussing on the 'tech' aspect of digital currency.

Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly says he thinks the Island has the right 'economic ecosystem' to grow the sector:
