Kayakers look for support from business community

Local businesses are being asked to support the Isle of Man's first team to take part in the Surf Kayak World Championships.

A team of Island kayakers will be fielded for the event in Northern Ireland next October - the recruitment process has started to find people who want to take part.

The organising committee says although plans are in their infancy it wants to put it on companies' radars going into the New Year when budgets are often decided.

Anyone interested in supporting the team is asked to e-mail iomsurfkayak@gmail.com.
