Treasury Minister Dr Alex Allinson says the Steam Packet Company will pay £1 a month rent to use the new Liverpool ferry terminal.
In Tynwald this week, he was asked how much the company is paying to use the facility - which opened to passengers three weeks ago.
In his answer, Dr Allinson said negotiations were still underway.
However, a figure had been agreed for the next six months:
