Passenger numbers at Ronaldsway were down last year with just over 700,000 passengers travelling through the airport.
Figures released by the Department of Infrastructure show there were around 5,000 fewer people travelling than in 2011.
Of the 21 routes operated throughout the year two thirds saw a decrease in people using them.
The decline is being blamed on the faltering UK and European economies and the double dip recession.
