Minister for Education and Children, Peter Karran will next week be seeking Tynwald’s approval for a multi million pound school extension scheme.
The Minister will be asking for just shy of £3 million for the improvements to the Victoria Road School in Castletown.
The works already have planning permission and if given the go ahead would see the creation of new classrooms, a hall, changing room facilities and a new caretakers office.
The plans were laid out in February’s budget.
If given approval work could commence as soon as next month.
