A £5 Christmas coin will be issued by Treasury for the festive season this year.
In a Tynwald question for written answer, Jason Moorhouse MHK asked Treasury Minister Alf Cannan if there were any plans to issue a special coin.
In his response, Mr Cannan says the coin is distinctly Manx and has a 'peace' theme to it.
It has been sent to the Queen for her approval.
