A-level students have today recorded a pass rate of 98.2 per cent – equalling the highest previous pass rate set in 2010.
Over 300 students picked up their results after sitting more than 1,060 exams – 260 students picked up their AS levels.
The percentage of passes at A* was 8.3 per cent – the highest since the grade was introduced five years ago.
41.8 per cent of entries achieved passes at grades A* to B – slightly down on the record figure from 2013.
