Proposed new abortion laws have been given their first reading by the House of Keys.
MHKs voted unanimously to give Dr Alex Allinson's private members bill its first reading yesterday.
The changes would allow women to have a termination up to 14 weeks into their pregnancy and up to 24 weeks if there are serious health concerns.
Two sets of protestors were outside the building ion Douglas as the law was discussed.
The second reading is planned for Tuesday, January 30, when members will have a chance to debate the topic.
