A shop worker shouted abuse at police after approaching them to help her unconscious friend.
Chantelle Taggart, of Anagh Coar Road in Douglas, appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood at Douglas Courthouse.
The 21-year-old admitted being drunk and disorderly on Central Promenade on February 17.
She hailed police to help her friend who'd overdosed in the back of a car Taggart was a passenger in.
But as officers helped the unconscious woman, Taggart shouted abuse at them and was eventually arrested.
Mrs Braidwood said it was a stressful situation and noted Taggart's previous good behaviour, handing her a 12-month conditional discharge.
