An amber weather warning for heavy rain and localised flooding is in force this morning.
The notice from Ronaldsway Met Office, which runs until Noon, is warning of up to 40mm of rain and up to 70mm on higher ground.
The warning is for the whole Island but river valleys on the east and northeast coasts are expected to be the worst hit.
Forecasters warn the conditions are likely to cause significant areas of standing water and difficult driving conditions during the rush hour period.
