Assisted dying is all about giving the choice to the individual.
That's the opinion of MHK Dr Alex Allinson, whose Assisted Dying Bill will receive a second reading in October.
The bill stipulates to be eligible you must be an island resident diagnosed with a terminal illness, with a life expectancy of six months or less.
If approved it would run through the Island's National Health Service.
Dr Allinson said it's all about people confronting the end of their life, on their terms:
Caine to defend seat in general election
June sitting of Tynwald to take place today
Deacon calls for pause on assisted dying law
Hindi interpreter needed by police
Report says more hospital beds not needed at Noble's
Government's savings programme hits £4.3 million
