The 22 year old made his first appearance in court last week following the incident which closed Athol Street last Monday.
A 61-year-old man was discovered seriously injured on the road near to the junction of Church Street, he’s been in Nobles ever since with a Police spokesperson informing 3FM that he’s steadily improving.
Redmond was arrested shortly after he was discovered.
During his first appearance in court last week an application for legal aid was made and he was remanded in custody.
