There's been an emergency closure and suspension of parking on Port St Mary's Athol Street.
The Department of Infrastructure took the decision for the closure following concerns over demolition work currently being carried out by a third party.
The main issue lies with tall partly demolished structures and the possibility for falling debris in the high winds.
The orders will apply until 4pm next Wednesday or until the structures are made safe.
During this time residents will continue to have access to their properties, although some sections of the road will remain fenced off.
