Baby lemurs born at wildlife park

Two baby lemurs have been born at Curraghs Wildlife Park.

The park confirmed the news in the last 24 hours, saying one of the ring-tailed lemurs, Acorn, has given birth to twins and that she's been a 'great mum'.

The team at the centre in Ballaugh say the babies are now a week old.

They add there are now more Ring-tailed lemurs in zoos and wildlife Parks than in the wild.

There is reckoned to be as little as 2,000, a 90% drop in the last 10-15 years
