Ban politicians from planning system says MHK

The planning system should be free of politicians.

That's according to Infrastructure Member Chris Thomas who says interference from government could "subvert" the planning process by introducing bias.

It follows the appointment of Planning Committee chairman Chris Robertshaw - who subsequently decided not to become a department member.
