    Bankers Association warn of on Island fraudsters

    A statement has been released by the Isle of Man Bankers Association after its come to light that fraudsters are operating on the Island.

    They've identified a number of common themes that would indicate that you've been targeted by a fraudster.

    You're urged not to comply if you receive a cold call from someone claiming to be a representative from your bank, you're also asked to be wary if you're advised that interest on your account has been incorrectly calculated and a refund is due.

    Clients are reminded that banks will never call and ask for full PIN and Passwords, if you've received any suspicious phone calls your urged not to disclose any information, and contact your bank immediately.
