Residents are being reminded to get their chimneys swept regularly following a fire last night.
Fire crews were called out at around 5pm Douglas Head Road after a house fire.
The road had to be closed while the blaze was dealt with.
Reports suggest it was caused by a build up of soot and unburned products in the flue.
