The Vicar of Braddan the Reverend Canon Philip Frear has announced his retirement from the parish at the end of April.
Canon Frear and his wife Jaquy came to the Island to serve in the diocese in 1995.
He was appointed as Chaplain to Noble's Hospital in 1998 and his service was recognised when he was appointed to the seat of the Canon of Maughold in the Cathedral and Chapter in 2004.
Canon Frear says he will continue in his role as Hospital Chaplain but is looking forward to his retirement from parish ministry and spending more time with his family.
