    Cancer survivor urging women to break gynae taboo

    Women on the Isle of Man are being urged to break the taboo and talk about their bodies in a bid to make a stand against cancer.

    September is Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month - to mark this a local cancer survivor is holding an awareness and fundraising event on the 20th which is Womb Cancer Awareness Day.
     
    MeShell Berry was diagnosed with the disease in October last year and had to have a hysterectomy and six weeks of radiotherapy:  
     
     
    Her event at Keyll Darree will raise money for Manx Cancer Help and the Eve Appeal - she's urging women to be more open about any problems they are experiencing:
