The Isle of Man’s captain has vowed the team will pick themselves up after their heartbreaking extra-time defeat to Jersey in the Inter-League Cup final.
However, Sean Quaye couldn’t hide his devastation at having been just seconds from cup glory, only to concede a soft goal in the dying seconds of normal time.
Archrivals Jersey eventually won 2-1 after extra time, after Lee Gale’s goal had seemed destined to win it for the Manx in front of over 3,300 fans at the Bowl.
However in the 94th minute, and with the referee about blow for full-time, a mix-up in defence gifted the opponents an equaliser.
The St George’s defender admitted the team feels crushed, but says they will come back from this loss (see audio).
