Mark Cavendish has had insult added to injury after suffering cuts and abrasion when he fell in the final sprint in the fourth stage of the Tour of Switzerland.
He now has been penalised for his fall.
He was handed a 30 second time penalty, docked 25 points and fined 200 Swiss francs.
Race commissioners said the penalty was for the deviation of the corridor while endangering others and causing an accident.
Heinrich Haussler, who was also involved had to be taken to hospital for stitches and is now out of the Tour.
Alessandro Petacchi, who went on to win the stage had told the media "I don’t like winning this way. If Cavendish hadn’t crashed, he would certainly have won."
