The Chief Minster says he's confident the Island is capable of delivery food security to people during storms.
Onchan MHK Julie Edge raised the issue of food supplies when boats cannot ship food in during bad weather during this month's Tynwald sitting.
Mr Cannan says he is confident that the Island will produce enough food during storms.
