Ramsey Town Commissioners have introduced a canvas 'bag for life.'
It follows a proposal from commissioner Juan McGuinness which was agreed in May.
The bags are available from Ramsey Town Library during its normal opening hours and cost £5 each.
Mr McGuinness says they'll give people wishing to reduce their use of plastic bags an option that promotes the town at the same time.
