The Chair of Ramsey Commissioners says ‘disappointment is an understatement’ following the rejection of the local authority’s boundary extension.
Rob Cowell, along with advocates and the town clerk gave evidence at a public inquiry in January because they believed the town was at ‘capacity’.
However, the inquiry chair Peter Taylor disagreed with their arguments, and in his report said Ramsey Commissioners have enough land to use until 2031.
Mr Cowell says conclusions made in the report ‘differ greatly’ from the opinions of the local authority.
