The decline for queen scallops is estimated to have cost the Manx fleet just under £175,000 in income over the space of a year.
That's according to statistics from Environment, Food & Agriculture Minister, Geoffrey Boot MHK, in response to a question on the subject in Tynwald this week.
Mr Boot says between July 2018 and last month the price per tonne for them dropped by over £117 and the landed weight declined by 108.5 tonnes.
He added as the number of Island boats in the trade dropped from 24 to 22 between 2018 and 2019, the individual impact has been 'relatively reduced'.
