Douglas Council looks set to ban single-use plastics from all its events.
A council meeting this month will consider the proposals after the Executive Committee approved the ban.
A trial ban took place last year, with food and drink vendors prevented from using single-use packaging.
The ban wouldn't cover plastics needed for hygiene or safety, or those that can be reused.
