    Council defends culling horse tram service

    Douglas Borough Council says the decision to cull the horse tram service has been "very difficult".

    It's announced today that it will no longer operate the iconic transport link because it's placing an "unacceptable burden" on the ratepayers in the town.
      
    Leader David Christian says it's currently making a loss of £263,000 and that has to stop:
