Firefighters spent an hour and a half at a farm in Bride yesterday, after a blaze threatened to destroy nearby barns.
Fire crews from Ramsey were called out shortly after midday, when a mechanical fault started a fire in a farm vehicle.
The farmer managed to release cows from a barn nearest to the seat of the blaze.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus then put the flames out.
