Credit union team pushing on despite setback

Plans for a Manx Credit Union on the Island will not be scrapped despite the team behind it facing numerous barriers.

The Financial Supervision Commission conducted a consultation recently - the feedback could potentially have shaped the legislation needed for the idea to succeed.

It was hoped government would have factored it into the upcoming legislative programme - however this has not happened.

Chairman David Talbot says he's not been given any explanation as to why it is yet to feature:
