Firefighters in the West of the Island were mobilised to a house fire in Peel this morning.
Crews from Peel and Kirk Michael were called to the scene at a property on Patrick Street at around 10am where a blaze had started in the living room and chimney.
The single person in the house had been evacuated by a passer-by - a man was treated for smoke inhalation by ambulance crews at the scene.
Teams were able to extinguish the fire in an operation which lasted around 90 minutes.
