There are just four days left to submit applications to become an independent member on Douglas Borough Council’s pensions committee.
The new member would be charged with administrating the Isle of Man’s local government pension scheme on behalf of all local authorities on the Island.
Council Leader David Christian said in these uncertain economic times it is essential to have a well informed body of individuals drawn from the Council and the wider community to administer the pension’s scheme and help protect the fund.
The closing date for applications is Friday, July 20th.
