Deadline approaching for tax assessment payments

The Income Tax Division and the Treasury have released a reminder for an important upcoming deadline.

The department is reminding people that payment for any outstanding amounts has to be in very soon.

This is in reference to personal tax assessments with the deadline of January 6 just around the corner.

There are several ways to pay, including an online service which people can use and avoid potentially large queues at the Income Tax Division office.

Anyone interested in paying via this method should register for Government Online Services on its website then follow the links to enrol for Tax Services.

Users of online tax services can also receive and submit their tax returns, receive their assessments, get their tax codes and review their tax balances.
