The chief executive of the DEC has been talking to 3FM following the confirmation of private operators for 10 former state-funded pre-schools.
Stuart Dobson told us about the process the department has been gone through to secure new operators.
The process of registering their settings with the Department of Social Care and advertising their services has now begun.
Although no provider has so far come forward for Jurby and nothing secured for Bride, the department is confident that provisions for these areas will be in place by September.
