DEFA asking people to avoid glens and plantations because of Storm Eowyn

People are being asked to avoid glens and plantations on Friday.

Storm Eowyn is expected to hit the Island later this week with winds of up to 80mph.

The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is asking people to avoid these areas because trees damaged by Storm Darragh in December are at risk of falling over.

It says its team is carrying out checks but if you spot anything they should be aware of to contact them on Facebook.
