The Department of Health and Social care say it's difficult to recruit and retain doctors on the Isle of Man.
In the House of Keys this week Onchan MHK Julie Edge asked how many doctor posts are vacant and how many locum doctors are being paid.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse revealed as of November this year there are 34 doctor posts vacant at Noble's hospital.
Mr Moorhouse says another 24 posts are currently being covered by locum doctors.
