The Department for Enterprise says it has nine staff earning more than £100,000 a year - and 90 who are paid more than £50,000.
A Freedom of Information request to the department asked how many people were paid within a set of salary bands.
In its response, the DfE said it individually negotiated pay with some staff members and so their salaries don't conform to civil service pay scales.
They include marketing managers, TT management, as well as directors and chief executives.
