Dept of Transport respond to Runway Contractor Protest
The department of transport have responded to the protests earlier this week about their decision to use off Island contractors for aspects of the Runway Project at Ronaldsway.
A meeting will now be held between the department and the Island Road Haulage Association to try and come up with a positive outcome.
As it stands work is progressing well on the runway.
It’s thought the decision to bring in off Island contractors was due to them being best matched for that specific job.
